The Department of Nephrology at Adiva Hospitals specializes in all aspects of Nephrology such as Nephrology Outpatient Consultation, Critical Care Nephrology, Haemodialysis, Peritoneal Dialysis, Vascular (Catheter) Access Placement.

Clinical Nephrology

Department of Nephrology at Adiva Hospitals provide you comprehensive medical care for patients with different types of kidney diseases like

Dialysis Unit:

In association with Davita-Nephrolife, state of art 9 bicarbonate haemodialysis machines is available which provides Haemodialysis and Continuous Ambulatory Peritoneal Dialysis (CAPD). Out of these 9 machineries, 1 is completely isolated for Hepatitis C patients and 1 set-up is Intensive Care Unit for emergency and critical care cases. These machineries comes with volumetric ultrafiltration and adjustable sodium facility, provide better patient safety profile.

Facility for continuous monitoring of sick patient on dialysis through highly sophisticated monitors throughout the dialysis procedure is available. Each haemodialysis session is for four hours duration which can be increased depending upon the conditions of the patients as well as doctor’s prescription to provide adequate dialysis per week. Slow Low- Efficiency Dialysis (SLED) is also practised for critical cases. It is usually of 6-8 hours of duration.
Special care is taken for maintaining the hygiene and sanitations
Heat-clean disinfection of haemodialysis machines after every shift is practiced for patient safety.
Disinfection of the surface of machineries is also practise on regular basis
Regular disinfection of the Whole loop of R.O. water Suppy is taken to provide best water supply for dialysis Unit Fumigation is a regular process to prevent bactericidal and virucidal infections.  Supported by highly trained Medical, Technical and Nursing staff, our dialysis unit provides the best quality care to all patients.
Dialysis Therapy for critically Ill patients.
We at Adiva Hospitals privileged ourselves in providing highly sophisticated dialysis for critically ill patients in ICU/ICCU with multi-organ failure, where peritoneal or routine haemodialysis are not possible for various reasons. State of the art machinery is kept for dialysis for critically sick patients in ICU . We have a special interest in bedside conventional hemodialysis, Slow Efficiency Hemodialysis (SLED) Continuous Cyclic Peritoneal Dialysis (CCPD) in critically sick patients at ICU.
